Coming up for air and keeping your head above water are crucial to the process of “Getting Things Done”. You have to know when it is time to step back and reassess the situation. You need to get a clear picture of what is preventing you from moving forward, and then break it down and dilute it until it is completely manageable.

Andrew Top-Hat has a gig tonight, ladies and gentlemen. Check him out at the Watermark in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It’s that time of year again, folks. Yep, let’s face it. Taxes. There, I said it. Taxes. Taxes. Is it preventing you from getting some things done?

Well, you could always apply a little technique called “Big Thing, Small Thing”. Basically, you take the smallest task you have to do, and just do it. Then, you take the biggest, most daunting task ahead of you and you do that. You need to take the Big Thing and break it down into steps, even writing down on paper, all the steps you would need to complete it. Then, you begin, one step at a time to do it. “One Step At A Time”. It is helpful to have a journal to write down information and be able to have a reference point.

Slow & Steady Wins the Race

You could do a crazy diet, or something like the “Insanity Workout”, where you just work out a bunch and just go super hardcore for a few weeks. In the end you will be left to go back to your old routines because you can’t keep up the intensity of a workout that is so insane. Even something like PX90 won’t help you out once the programs over. Adapting a lifestyle of health conscious choices changes the “quick-fix” method to something you can live by.

Thirteen episodes in… are we getting any where? Hellz Yeah! We’re getting things done! Each episode is a testament to the show’s success. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, even then we’ll get things done.

If You Can Do, You Do

“Roll with the Punches”, became the theme of this show as we dealt with the collision of work responsibilities trumping the airing of our broadcast. It served as a learning opportunity of how to deal with unexpected obstacles while trying to get things done. A common problem when focusing on “Getting Things Done”, interruptions and urgent matters need to be expected and dealt with accordingly. The key is to stay calm and not get overwhelmed. We turned our dilemna into an opportunity to face adversity, and tackled the show in two parts. Topics discussed include what to do when you feel like you can’t get things done, how to get back in the zone after you fall off, and how health impacts your ability to get things done. Robin Leech, Jack Kennedy, and the Crocodile Hunter make special appearances as well, making this an episode to remember. Some wise words from our beloved Mother, “Believe it in your mind. Achieve it.”

Tips and Tricks: From the book, “Weight Loss Guide”, by Dr. Steven V. Joyale and William Faloon.

Good Sleep Hygiene

Go to bed and rise at the same time every day, even on weekends.

Maintain a sleep routine, sticking to the same relaxing activities every night

Do not use your bed for anything but sleep and sex

Sleep in a dark room, add white noise if necessary

Stimulus Control Therapy - try it!

Avoid caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol in the hours preceding bedtime.

Exercise routinely during the day to promote onset and quality of sleep.

Avoid napping during the day.
