Get Things Done

Amboys-get-things-done by AMBoys

Let’s face it. Sometimes it’s hard to do what you know you gotta do. This has been the major challenge in my life, and my only obstacle to success. In an effort to combat the entropic tendency toward non-action, Top-hat and I have started a new podcast called “Getting Things Done”. It is a coincidence that it is the same name as a book by a guy named David Allen. I highly recommend the book. If I did everything he said in the book, I would be a millionario. I hope by focusing on “Getting Things Done”, while embracing the Slowtimer ethos, we can eventually reach our destination (wherever that may be).

I wanted to do a bit of a promotion to let people know we’re serious about this project, so I thought the best way to be professional would be to have a catchy jingle-intro for the show. I gave the AMBoys a call to see if they were up to the challenge and they turned out this little gem called “Get Things Done”, which I have been told has inspired a forthcoming album. The artwork for the album was derived from a vector pack I dreamed up (that I will release when it’s done) called, “Everyday Textures”. It’s amazing what happens when the wheels of motivation begin to spin. Tune in live on Friday at 12 Noon for our second show… where we figure out what we’re doing.

What do you take when you take two awesome things I usually don’t listen to and put them together? Something I do listen to.
