So you want a snack. You don’t really know what you want. Oh wait there are that left-over burger from Wendy’s or the frozen shrimp, oh oh oh and that soup your mom sent home with you. How old is it? I think two weeks. How long will chicken soup last in the fridge? What about in the freezer? Don’t look stupid by asking your friend to smell it. Don’t end up in the ER because of low blood sugar. Just go to stilltasty.com and you’ll get all you need to know. I wonder if they have menudo? Okay maybe not menudo. I think I need to clear out my fridge. I’m gonna throw up.
Ok it’s time to bore you with my enthusiasm…again. It’s the second day of the baseball season and I couldn’t be happier. And I’ve probably ruined my summer and my relationship by buying the Extra Innings cable package so I can watch almost any game I want. I fell in love with the sports package when I ordered the hockey package, Center Ice, so I could follow the Sabres this season. I have no idea how I lived without this kind of stuff before. I have been a baseball idiot much longer than I’ve been a hockey idiot so this need is deep rooted. I can remember the day when I was extremely excited if a game was on the radio, any game. And then being super excited when they came out with the internet Gamecasts so I could follow the games while I was at work in college. But nothing compares to going to a game. And this video gets me super amped. Although I may be alone on this one.

So my favorite hockey team was beaten by the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Redwings tonight which pretty much closes the door on their playoff hopes. But in the good news department… Baseball started today. I know there was a game on last night but that doesn’t matter the season doesn’t start until the Cincinnati Reds throw out the first pitch. They have always had the first game, always at home, to start the season and nothing ESPN does or says will convince me otherwise. But what does everyone play for? The playoffs. And I found a website today that will help you determine day by day what the odds are that your favorite team, no matter what sport your into, will make the playoffs. Look how pathetic my teams chances are to make the Stanley Cup playoffs. And there’s graphs. By looking at the graph can you tell when the Buffalo top goalie Ryan Miller got injured? In better news look at the hope that my Cincinnati Reds have. Yes I know it’s game one of 162 but dammit hope is hope. I’m gonna go watch some more baseball.
