Donate to the Gooswa/Dub Ink IPhone App Fund!

April 30th, 2009 by gooswa

So top-hat and I were talking one day about the IPhone App that I want to work on, and told him how I was broke and couldn’t afford the $99 dollars to pay for the Apple IPhone Developer Enrollment fee. He told me I should make a post on here and see if anyone would be interested in donating any money at all to my cause of creating a really great iPhone App.

I would tell you what the App did but then I might have to kill you. lol j/k. I actually will let you know what the app does if you decide to donate. Just ask top-hat, he will tell you its a killer app idea. ;)

This post is really to see if there is any interest in people donating. I have asked a few other people and they said my offer seems pretty good, so here it is for you guys:

If you would like to donate money and help fund this worthy cause I would be able to return your investment 100 fold (with some stipulations). So if you donate $10 to the cause you have the “possibility” of getting $1000 back. This almost seems crazy right? This is what I mean by “possibly” or the stipulations.

The app has to succeed on the app store before anyone that invests can get a return. It also has to succeed to a point where I can allow myself to live and payout other people without putting myself in a hole. If it doesn’t succeed you would at least get your investment back.

So this is the deal $99 for enrollment fee plus I also need another $80 to register the domain name. Yes $80 for domain name due to the fact I am registering a *.fm domain name, (This .fm might give you a hint on what the application does.) which for some reason costs $80/year instead the normal $8/year.

So donate as much as you want and you will be logged as a “share” holder and make sure you get your return when I become rich. ;)

If you are interested now in investing here is a PayPal donate button that will send me money directly.

Once you donate I will send you email to a URL where you can keep track of my progress on my app.

UPDATE: I removed the donate button. I got enough donations/investments now that I can get started with a small cushion even. So those who have donated so far thanks a bunch!!! If you haven’t donated yet and want to, I might open another round of donations when I get around to funds for promotions/advertising.

Best Diamonds

I’ve always loved Neil Diamond’s braggadocio. He’s one of few whose performances I’d call ballsy. Dude walks up to a microphone knowing he’s going to please hammer don’t hurt ‘em. So here’s a top five for tonight:

5 Holly Holy Personally I rank this song higher but I’m putting this in as a warm-up. This song perfectly describes the process of waking up. Pained expressions. Slow starts. False starts. Then it’s a false church of caffeine and angels. Best line: “And she comes/ And I run/ Just like the wind, wind” It takes two winds to make it outta sight.

4 Solitary Man There are more heavy-handed versions of this song, but the uppy horns really capture this one for me. The Diamond moonscape and the Yale dudes with really hot dates make this one for me. One of our older siblings was born to this performance.

3 Shilo “So you turn to the only friend you can find/ There in your mind” Dang, Shilo.

2 I Am, I Said A solemn Neil lays down a proclamation of cities that don’t fit his bill. You know. Some cities have economic advantages. This is a man whose hair can only fit in between two coastal cities. “I’m not a man who likes to swear/ but I never cared for the sound of being alone” Not even the chair, homes.

1 Song, Sung Blue Okay, you probably expected “Sweet Caroline” which to me is overplayed. Or “Coming To America” which deserves a place on this list (TODAY!). But I love this song. I’m sorry. I just love this song.

Slowtimer @ Coachella

Here are three of my clips. Sorry I didn’t get to this sooner, but in the true spirit of this site, I was waiting for the dust to settle. And for my heartrate to recover from a surreal week at 120 bpm, my vindication for defying a universe that seemed hellbent on keeping me home. There were functional Tesla Coils! Justin was barefoot. I was not not licking frogs.

From my Twitter account:
1:20 AM Tesla coils. My phone is dying. Goodnight.
10:36 PM Dragon gets me every time. Okay, now chemical bros.
10:13 PM Lost, then found. M.I.A.
9:47 PM Check that. Band of horses first.
9:46 PM Mimosa on the way to chemical brothers.
9:18 PM Thievery.
8:39 PM Fleet foxes.
7:40 PM TV on the radio. Coachella stage. Fucking sun.
7:16 PM Bloody beetroots. Sahara tent.
3:57 PM Wow, guess I took the scenic route.
