Are you looking for a hip new news source? “How rude!”
I’m so giddy to bring you news. Today’s been weird. I got off probation, talked to my neighbor about usurping his grandparents’ ranch in Chihuahua (which I learned was a province), watched a bunch of internet TV, learned that LiLo is in bad trouble again, and got an overwhelming near-superstitious need to listen to Tommy James and the Shandelles. After watching Henry Rollins talk about his recent tour of duty on the U.S.O. circuit, I feel an urgent push toward action. Energy efficiency is limited to less than 40% by the Carnot cycle. Enter Jodie Sweetin and Tommy James. The price of oil jumps two dollars a barrel due to this speculation.
Rather than prattle on, I’ll give you a link that might entertain you:
my favorite is the “etc.” piece called “Soft Focus.” Ian Svenonius is entertaining, but he’s more than just entertainment. More about Vice TV: there’s hip investigative reporting with bomber sunglasses and hipster jewelry, but it’s better than living L.A., and better than looking at the Cobrasnake website obsessively trying to find your cousin for your aunt’s peace of mind.
The most under the radar news article of the week is Jodie Sweetin?s recovery from a doldrum-induced meth habit and her recent, subsequent Trip to Elope City post Promises stay. Lohan, figure it out. Don?t get naked in front of your colleagues. Sweetin?s smile got her hired, but she?s as resilient as a fucking sponge, and that?s what got her to the ripe old age of 25. Nat West, eat your heart out.
Album recommendation: Tommy James and the Cellophane Symphony, ?Crimson and Clover?
